Indigo dye x Nubuck
Development of indigo-dyed leather began 15 years ago. It was completed after about five years of trial and error, and to mark the 10th anniversary of its commercialization in 2015, a new indigo-dyed leather has been released.
Born from approximately six years of conception and development, indigo-dyed nubuck leather is a special material that combines tradition and innovation.
This leather was completed by overcoming the difficulties inherent in indigo dyeing in achieving color development, as well as the delicate process in which the finished leather is dependent on the base, resulting in a deep color and soft texture not found in traditional indigo dyeing.
The delicate grain is created by the high temperature drum. Furthermore, the surface is carefully scraped to create a raised texture that feels soft and comfortable in the hand, with a soft, fluffy feel. The dyeing process is more extensive than usual, and the nubuck processing is painstakingly carried out, resulting in a unique and rich texture.
The more you use it, the grain will soften and a subtle sheen will appear on the surface. The color will also gradually deepen and darken, developing a unique look. Enjoy the texture of the leather itself and the depth of the indigo color as the fur changes.
