This No. 9 canvas is bio-processed and treated with a strong paraffin coating, which is also used in truck tarpaulins and tents used by the Self-Defense Forces. It is a durable cotton material with high water repellency.
Although the No. 9 canvas is not thick, it is woven at a high density, giving it a unique firmness and elasticity despite its light weight.
While retaining the natural feel of canvas, it also has an attractive vintage look.
This is a material that you can enjoy as it changes over time, revealing denim-like textures and chalk marks with use.

Kurashiki Canvas is based in Kurashiki City, Okayama Prefecture, which has long been a flourishing textile production area, and has a tradition dating back over 130 years since its founding.
We carry out all processes in our own factory, from twisting a single thread to weaving a bolt of fabric.
