《生地の存在感とドゥーマンとオイルレザーの調和》
琵琶湖の西岸で織られた厚口帆布を使用。強度の高い糸を使いほんの少し緩く織られた生地の隙間に大量の蝋を浸透定着させています。
その後、デニム加工の本場である岡山県児島にて、バイオウォッシュ（綿花を好む微生物入りのドラムでタンブリングを施し、生地にうねりとシルキーな風合い、1割縮む事で強度をプラス）する事で長年の使用にも型崩れすることなく汚れも付きにくい素材となっています。
強い存在感のある生地に負けない、厚口オイルレザーは、使い込むうちに美しい経年変化を見せ、長く愛用していただけるデザインです。
ストラップやサイドに入れたパイピングのレザー使いは、デザイナーのこだわりです。
《機能素材としての使命》
防水帆布の為、泥水等が付いても、乾いてから叩いたりブラッシングすれば汚れはほぼ取れるようになっています。
また、水に濡れれば糸が水を吸い込み膨張する為、水の侵入を防ぎ、乾けば空気を通す機能帆布です。過去には果物・野菜を運ぶトラックの幌に使われていた歴史があります。
高機能・高強度の為、希少価値のある素材ですが、オリジナルカラーを作成し、シーガルシップを代表する素材となっています。
